Research

I'm preparing to write a marriage AU (because I'm an old Harry Potter fan and remember those). Basically, I need all the information I can get about Japanese immigration laws as pertains to marriage and work visas.

Why am I so thorough? Why???

Anyone know anything/could help me find resources?

Eithne Lubhéid's Entry Denied: Controlling Sexuality at the Border has interesting things to say about Japanese exclusion, marriage, and immigration to the U.S. It's not quite what you're looking for, since it is centered on the U.S., but it does touch on Japanese law and is an excellent book generally.

It really is! And it gives one the rare sensation that some things have actually improved…
